Joining a DJ Record Pool
Joining a DJ pool can help you either make your presence in the world of DJing or if you are already established, pave a way for you to increase your reputation.
Basically, DJ record pools are associations of DJ’s (and mobile DJ’s), radio stations and nightclub music directors. The ultimate purpose of all the record pools is to let listeners enjoy current music in return for valuable feedbacks which help them improve considerably.
Their functions also include providing a platform for those artists who otherwise are unable to receive an opportunity to present their music online. This makes them an incredible platform for start-ups who not only get a strong platform but also have a chance to become famous quick due to the credibility these pools have for launching and promoting careers of new artists.
Although DJ records pools are non-profit in nature (well, mostly), they are not free to join. You have to pay a membership fee which may cost anywhere from $200 or above, depending upon the type of DJ record pool that you are joining. Sometimes you get the advantage of being a local since you can pick your records yourself, so your membership fee will be considerably lower.
